The movie version of the popular HBO series Sex and the City is slowly coming into fruition as Chris Noth signs up for the project. With the recent success of Transformers , it seems that the new "fad" in Hollywood right now is to make a movie of old cartoon shows. New Regency and 20th Century Fox have teamed up to produce Voltron , a movie about 5 pilots who run robotic lions that can form together into one big gigantic ... robot. I guess movies with epic battles ala Lord of the Rings are now out. I'm not sure yet if I'm looking forward to this movie. Alias and LOST creator J. J. Abrams is slated to direct the next Star Trek movie since 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis , and he'll be directing 2 Spocks in the movie: the older one, played by Leonard Nimoy reprising his role from the movies, and the young version, to be played by Heroes actor Zachary Quinto. I remember a few weeks ago looking in IMDB for upcoming projects by The Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan, and was disappointed that I didn't find any new movies listed. Well today I was surfing around for movie news and I found this old article about the director's new movie called The Happening . I checked back at IMDB and to my surprise, it's now listed.
